Historically, Quimbee has safeguarded against the accidental creation of duplicate accounts by ensuring that no single email address can have more than one active subscription tied to it at a given time. (We chose this option because email addresses are unique, whereas names aren't.)

But law students are busy, and most have more than one email account. After a late-night study session, it's all-too-easy to forget that you already created a Quimbee account with your personal email address and set another up with your school email. We're always happy to issue refunds in those situations, but we wanted to prevent this problem from happening in the first place.

To that end, we've introduced a new safeguard. If our system detects that your payment method is already tied to another account, you'll be prompted to log in there (where you can update your email address in your account settings if you'd like). That way, there's even less chance of you winding up paying twice for your Quimbee account.
